Delia Leung

Delia is a Dharma Yoga teacher, originally trained under Samrat Dasgupta in HK, and currently completing her 1,000 hour teacher training with Sri Dharma Mittra in Dharma Yoga Center NYC. She offers classes in Dharma Yoga Wheel, Pranayama, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga. She is also the co-founder of MDFL MVMT, a platform promoting mindfulness practice in Hong Kong. Being able to witness one's transformation on a physical, mental and spiritual level is her greatest motivation. She welcomes everyone to join her on the mat with an open heart and an open mind — "Be as playful as possible, keep exploring and smile!"

Dharma Yoga
Beginners / Intermediate
Dharma Yoga is a graceful, accessible yet challenging form of yoga shared by yoga legend Sri Dharma Mitra. This practice has roots in all nine forms of yoga with emphasis on Yama and Niyama (ethical guidelines). It is a devotional practice that focuses on good health, a clear mind and a kind heart. By moving through different series of postures, we are encouraged to go within, and to go deeper into our practice in a meditative and spiritual way. This lineage of yoga weaves together many teachings in order to bring us closer to the goal of self-realisation. All is within.

YOGA
Dharma Yoga Wheel
The yoga wheel is an amazing tool for warming up and eventually moving safely into backbends, inversions and other poses. First being created by the yoga legend Sri Dharma Mittra, the yoga wheel aids practitioners, not just in yoga, but in all disciplines in developing backbending, flexibility, balance and core strength. Practitioners will learn to stretch and release tensions in the back, chest, shoulders, abdomen and hip flexors.

Pranayama & Meditation
Meditation is an art and is also an exercise for the mind. Pranayama, yogic breathing will be introduced in the guided meditation session, through which one will also work on various concentration exercises that lead to equanimity. Experiences of deep relaxation and mental clarity will come with regular practice. Through meditation one purifies the physical body as well as revitalises the mental body. Some basic physical postures for relaxation may be introduced.
