APPLIED THAI TRADITIONAL MEDICINE PRACTITIONER (ATTM/TTM)

Join our team as we prepare for the evolution of the property into Fivelements Samui, the brand’s forthcoming flagship integrative wellbeing destination. The Applied Thai Traditional Medicine Practitioner will play an important role in bringing Thailand’s rich heritage of traditional healing into a contemporary wellness setting. Through personalised consultations, traditional therapeutic treatments and herbal recommendations, the role will support guests in exploring a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, guided by the principles and practices of Thai Traditional Medicine.

Working closely with the multidisciplinary integrative wellness team, the practitioner will conduct traditional assessments, deliver treatments from the Fivelements Thai Traditional Medicine menu and recommend appropriate herbal teas and remedies according to individual guest needs. The position also involves maintaining professional treatment standards, caring for therapeutic tools and herbal preparations, and sharing knowledge through educational workshops and classes, contributing to a meaningful and culturally grounded wellness experience at Fivelements Samui.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Traditional Medicine Consultations: Conduct personalised Thai Traditional Medicine consultations and elemental assessments to understand individual guest needs and wellbeing goals.
  • Therapeutic Treatments: Deliver professional treatments from the Fivelements Thai Traditional Medicine menu, applying traditional techniques and established treatment protocols.
  • Herbal Recommendations: Recommend appropriate traditional herbal teas and remedies based on individual assessments, guest needs and relevant safety considerations.
  • Personalised Guest Care: Provide attentive, culturally respectful care, adapting treatment recommendations to individual preferences and circumstances.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with doctors, therapists and integrative wellness practitioners to coordinate guest care and support a cohesive wellness experience.
  • Treatment Standards & Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential guest treatment records while ensuring the appropriate care, cleanliness and preparation of therapeutic tools, herbs and treatment spaces.
  • Wellness Education: Lead educational workshops and classes that introduce guests to the principles, practices and traditional healing knowledge of Thai Traditional Medicine.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Professional Qualifications: Valid professional licence in Thai Traditional Medicine or Applied Thai Traditional Medicine, recognised in Thailand.
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience as a Thai Traditional Medicine practitioner.
  • Traditional Medicine Expertise: Strong knowledge and practical experience in Thai Traditional Medicine therapies, elemental assessment and traditional treatment approaches.
  • Hospitality Background: Previous experience in wellness retreats, luxury resorts or integrative wellness environments is preferred.
  • Guest Relations: A warm, respectful and guest-focused approach, with the ability to communicate traditional healing practices clearly and professionally.
  • Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with doctors, therapists and multidisciplinary wellness practitioners.
  • Language: Good command of spoken and written English.
