TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE PRACTITIONER (TCM)

Join our team as the property evolves into Fivelements Samui, the brand’s forthcoming flagship integrative wellbeing destination. The Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner will play an important role in bringing the principles and therapeutic practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine into our integrative approach to health and wellbeing. Through personalised consultations, traditional diagnostic methods and tailored treatments, the role will support guests in exploring holistic approaches to restoring balance, supporting vitality and nurturing long-term wellness.

Working closely with doctors, therapists and the multidisciplinary integrative wellness team, the practitioner will deliver treatments from the Fivelements Traditional Chinese Medicine menu and recommend appropriate herbal remedies based on individual guest assessments. The position also involves maintaining professional treatment standards, caring for therapeutic tools and herbs, and sharing traditional healing knowledge through educational workshops and classes, contributing to a personalised and culturally informed wellness experience at Fivelements Samui.

Key Responsibilities:

  • TCM Consultations & Assessments: Conduct personalised Traditional Chinese Medicine consultations and assessments to understand individual guest needs and wellbeing goals.
  • Traditional Treatments: Deliver professional therapies from the Fivelements TCM menu, applying established Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic methods, techniques and treatment protocols.
  • Herbal Recommendations: Recommend appropriate traditional herbal remedies based on individual assessments, guest needs and relevant safety considerations.
  • Personalised Guest Care: Provide attentive, professional care, adapting treatment recommendations to individual preferences and circumstances.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with doctors, therapists and integrative wellness practitioners to coordinate treatments and support a cohesive guest experience.
  • Treatment Standards & Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential guest treatment records, ensuring appropriate preparation, hygiene and care of therapeutic tools, herbs and treatment spaces.
  • Wellness Education: Lead educational workshops and classes that introduce guests to the principles, therapeutic practices, and traditional knowledge of Chinese Medicine.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Professional Qualifications: Formal qualification in Traditional Chinese Medicine from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Licence: Valid professional licence to practise Traditional Chinese Medicine in Thailand.
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience as a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner.
  • TCM Expertise: Strong knowledge and practical experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis, treatment methods and traditional herbal practices.
  • Hospitality Background: Previous experience in a wellness retreat, luxury resort or integrative healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Guest Relations: A warm, calm and guest-focused approach, with the ability to communicate traditional healing practices clearly and professionally.
  • Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with doctors, therapists and multidisciplinary wellness practitioners.
  • Language: Good command of spoken and written English.
