ASSISTANT HEALING & WELLNESS MANAGER

Fivelements Ubud is the original home of Fivelements, set in tropical gardens along the banks of Bali’s sacred Ayung River. Intimate in scale, the retreat brings together Balinese healing traditions, plant-forward cuisine, mindful movement and restorative hospitality in a setting with its own distinct sense of place.

We are looking for an Assistant Healing & Wellness Manager to support the Healing & Wellness Manager in leading the department. The role oversees spa treatments, healing sessions, wellness activities and guest programmes. It works closely with therapists, healers, visiting practitioners and the wellness reception team so that each guest’s journey is personal, well coordinated and delivered to Fivelements standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily operations: Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the Healing & Wellness Department, including spa treatments, healing sessions, wellness activities and guest programmes.
  • Guest experience: Deliver personalised, attentive and intuitive service throughout each guest’s wellness journey.
  • Team leadership: Supervise and support therapists, healers, wellness practitioners and wellness reception team members.
  • Programme development: Support the development and delivery of healing and wellness programmes, retreats and special guest experiences, coordinating with internal and external practitioners.
  • Commercial performance: Help the Healing & Wellness Manager reach departmental revenue and profitability targets, monitoring treatment bookings, therapist productivity and retail sales.
  • Standards and compliance: Ensure compliance with departmental SOPs, hygiene standards, health and safety requirements and applicable regulations.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Education: A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Spa Management, Wellness Management or a related field.
  • Certification: Professional certification in Spa Therapy, Wellness, Holistic Healing or a related discipline is an advantage.
  • Experience: At least 3–5 years in luxury spa, wellness retreat or five-star hospitality operations. Experience in a luxury wellness resort, destination spa or holistic retreat is highly preferred.
  • Leadership: At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager position.
  • Wellness Knowledge: Familiarity with Balinese healing traditions, holistic therapies, yoga, meditation or integrative wellness practices is an advantage.
  • Language: Good spoken and written English.
