HEAD THERAPIST

Join our team as the property evolves into Fivelements Samui, the brand’s forthcoming flagship integrative wellbeing destination. The Head Therapist will lead and support our team of spa therapists, ensuring that every treatment reflects the highest standards of professional care, technical expertise and attentive hospitality. Through hands-on supervision, coaching and training, the role will help maintain consistent treatment quality while nurturing a skilled and confident team.

Working closely with the Spa Manager and wider wellness team, the Head Therapist will oversee daily treatment preparation, therapist performance, hygiene standards and the effective management of treatment supplies. This position offers an opportunity for an experienced spa professional to contribute to the development of Fivelements Samui’s distinctive wellness experience, bringing together technical excellence, thoughtful guest care and the principles of our integrative wellbeing philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Therapist Supervision: Lead and support the daily activities of spa therapists, ensuring professional conduct, effective teamwork and consistent treatment standards.
  • Training & Development: Provide hands-on coaching, technical guidance and ongoing training to strengthen therapist skills and service delivery.
  • Treatment Quality: Monitor massage, facial and body treatment techniques, ensuring correct procedures, guest comfort and appropriate consideration of contraindications.
  • Guest Experience: Deliver attentive, personalised treatments and support the team in maintaining Fivelements’ standards of care and hospitality.
  • Operational Standards: Oversee treatment room preparation, cleanliness, hygiene, equipment readiness and adherence to established spa procedures.
  • Supplies & Coordination: Monitor treatment products and supplies, coordinating with the Spa Manager and wellness team to support smooth daily operations.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Senior Therapist or Spa Supervisor, preferably within a luxury resort, hotel spa or wellness retreat.
  • Training Expertise: Minimum 3–5 years of experience training, coaching or supervising other therapists.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in massage, facial and body treatments, with sound knowledge of anatomy, contraindications and hygiene standards.
  • Leadership: Ability to guide and motivate a team while maintaining consistent treatment quality and professional standards.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with guests, therapists and wellness practitioners.
  • Language: Good command of spoken and written English.
