RECREATION ATTENDANT

Join our team as the property evolves into Fivelements Samui, the brand’s forthcoming flagship integrative wellbeing destination. The Recreation Attendant will play an important role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment across the resort’s recreational facilities, including the beach, swimming pool and outdoor activity areas. Through attentive guest service, careful facility preparation and daily operational support, the role will help ensure that guests can relax, explore and participate in recreational activities with comfort and confidence.

Working closely with the Recreation and Wellness teams, the Recreation Attendant will assist with the preparation of equipment, maintenance of recreational spaces and coordination of daily activities. The position combines hands-on operational responsibilities with warm, professional hospitality, contributing to safe, engaging and memorable guest experiences that reflect the spirit of active living and wellbeing at Fivelements Samui.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recreation Area Operations: Support the daily operation and presentation of the resort’s beach, swimming pool and outdoor recreational areas, ensuring they remain welcoming and well organised.
  • Guest Assistance: Welcome guests, respond to enquiries and provide friendly, attentive support throughout their recreational experience.
  • Activity Support: Assist with the preparation, coordination and delivery of recreational activities, helping guests participate comfortably and safely.
  • Equipment Preparation: Prepare, organise and care for recreational equipment and supplies, ensuring everything is ready for daily activities.
  • Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation across recreation areas, reporting maintenance or safety concerns when necessary.
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with Recreation, Wellness and other resort departments to support smooth daily operations and engaging guest experiences.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience in recreation, hospitality or a related guest service role is preferred.
  • Guest Relations: A friendly, approachable and service-minded personality, with confidence in interacting with guests from different backgrounds.
  • Physical Fitness: Physically active and comfortable working outdoors in a tropical resort environment.
  • Attention to Detail: A responsible approach to cleanliness, safety, equipment care and facility presentation.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and develop new skills across recreation and wellness activities.
  • Teamwork: Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Language: Good command of spoken English.
